Calvaria, Calvaria; meninges, Meninges, and dural
venous sinuses, Sinus durae matris.
In the adult, the cerebrospinal fluid is mainly reabsorbed into
the venous system through the arachnoid granulations.
Additionally, reabsorption occurs through the lymphatic
sheaths of small vessels of the cranial pia mater and through
the perineural sheaths of the cranial and the spinal nerves.
